NEW YORK, NY, July 30, 2026 (EZ Newswire) -- Yield.xyz, the onchain yield infrastructure layer trusted by more than 200 companies including Ledger, Trust Wallet, and Trezor, today announced the launch of Yield.xyz AgentKit on x402, bringing the entire onchain yield ecosystem to autonomous AI agents through a single Model Context Protocol (MCP) server and Coinbase's open HTTP payment standard, x402.

Starting today, any AI agent capable of holding a wallet can discover, enter, rebalance, and monitor more than 3,300 onchain yield opportunities across 80+ blockchain networks, spanning DeFi lending, staking, liquid staking, vaults, and tokenized real-world assets including US Treasuries, money-market funds, private credit, and CLOs. The integration works through one MCP integration, with no API key required.

Payment works through x402, Coinbase's open payment protocol that revives the HTTP 402 status code to enable autonomous stablecoin micropayments. Each tool includes a free tier — 30 calls per wallet, per tool, per rolling 24 hours on the wallet-keyed tools (balances and the three action builders), and 1,000 calls per caller, per tool on the read-only tools. Once an agent exceeds the free tier, the server returns an HTTP 402 challenge; the agent's wallet signs a $0.001 USDC payment on Base, and the payment is settled and verified through the Coinbase CDP Facilitator before the tool executes. The wallet is the credential.

"We believe the next generation of internet services will be built for autonomous software. x402 provides the payment layer that enables AI agents to seamlessly discover, purchase, and consume services using open standards. Yield.xyz exemplifies this vision by giving agents access to thousands of onchain reward opportunities across dozens of blockchain networks from staking and DeFi lending to tokenized real-world assets," said Kevin Leffew, AI GTM at Coinbase, x402 co-author.

"AI agents shouldn't need accounts, API keys, or business development agreements before they can participate in financial markets. They should be able to discover opportunities, pay for intelligence, and execute transactions as autonomous economic actors. By combining Yield.xyz AgentKit with x402, we've removed that entire onboarding layer. Any agent with a wallet can instantly access the world's largest onchain yield infrastructure through open standards," said Apurv Mishra, co-founder and Chief Product Officer, Yield.xyz.

Production Infrastructure, Extended to Agents

Yield.xyz AgentKit is not a new, isolated product built for the AI moment. It is an extension of the same infrastructure — SOC 2 Type II certified, non-custodial, audited that Ledger, Trust Wallet, Trezor, Anchorage Digital, Turnkey, Utila, Deblock, Crossmint, and Portal already depend on to power yield for millions of users in production.

Every transaction returned by Yield.xyz AgentKit is unsigned: the agent constructs the payload, but keys never leave the developer's or user's control.

Yield.xyz AgentKit exposes 17 structured MCP tools organized across four workflow stages:

  1. Discovery: Search and filter 3,300+ yield opportunities by asset, network, protocol type, APY, TVL, fees, and risk rating across 80+ blockchains.
  2. Diligence: Compare historical APY and TVL trends, liquidity depth, minimums, and risk ratings before committing capital.
  3. Execution: Build unsigned transactions for deposits, withdrawals, stakes, and rebalances; every amount is human-readable.
  4. Tracking: Monitor active positions, pending actions, and accrued rewards across wallets and networks.

An agent uses the same schema to enter a Morpho lending market, stake through a liquid staking protocol, or deposit into a tokenized Treasury vault without protocol-specific logic required.

x402-Native: The Wallet Is the Credential

Yield.xyz AgentKit settles through the CDP Facilitator available on Coinbase CDP Bazaar and listed on the Agentic Market, the marketplace for autonomous agent commerce that has processed more than 165 million transactions and $50 million in volume across 480,000+ transacting agents. Any x402-compatible agent can discover and pay for Yield.xyz AgentKit calls with no manual listing or registration step on either side.

Enterprise customers can supply an API key to bypass the metered gate entirely.

Connect the MCP server using https://mcp.yield.xyz/mcp to begin immediately.
