Warp Introduces Warp Agent to Automate the Operational Work of HR

NEW YORK, NY, September 25, 2026 (EZ Newswire) -- Warp today introduced Warp Agent, a new way to automate the operational side of HR work, marking the launch of Warp 2.0. Warp Agent handles employee onboarding, tax compliance, and benefits without needing to be asked, and can answer employee questions about pay and policy.
People and HR teams spend their time on everything from building culture and setting talent strategy to dealing with tax agencies, tracking filings, enrolling benefits and answering repetitive PTO questions. Warp built Warp Agent to take the operational work off their plates.

Warp Agent includes:
- Routines that run work automatically: Routines are jobs Warp Agent owns and runs automatically, either on a set schedule or when triggered by a specific event. For instance, when an offer is signed, it can register the company in a new state, set up payroll, enroll benefits and a 401(k), order a laptop, create Google and Slack accounts, and send a first-day message. It can also resolve tax notices and check payroll variances.
- Custom workflows in plain language: Companies can create their own Routines, such as sending every new hire a 30-day check-in and summarizing it for their manager.
- Full employee context and permissions: Warp Agent understands each employee’s role, location, compensation, benefits and other relevant context, and can only access or change what the person it acts for can.
- Human oversight: When a task requires a person, Warp Agent brings in a company employee or Warp specialist, with a record of every action and why it was taken.
- Trust, security and governance: Every action has an identity, scope, written rationale and rollback. Money movement has hard limits the agent cannot change, and companies set whether the agent recommends, acts only after human approval, or acts on its own.
Warp Agent is rolling out today through early access. Existing Warp customers can turn on Warp Agent from the Early Access tab in settings. Admins with questions about setup can book time with their account manager, and companies not yet using Warp can request a demo.
