DUBAI, United Arab Emirates, September 10, 2026 (EZ Newswire) -- TradeQuo, a multi-asset brokerage providing access to forex, commodities, indices, equities, cryptocurrencies and contracts for difference (CFDs), today announced the launch of GOLD247, an instrument that enables eligible clients to trade gold on Saturdays and Sundays through the MetaTrader 5 platform.

GOLD247 is offered as a standalone instrument and operates alongside, not in place of, TradeQuo's existing XAUUSD products, which continue to trade on their standard weekday schedule.

How the instrument works

GOLD247 is available to eligible clients throughout Saturday and Sunday. At the start of the regular trading week, the instrument moves into close-only mode, under which existing positions can be closed but new positions cannot be opened.

Because traditional gold exchanges are closed over the weekend, GOLD247 utilizes a proprietary synthetic liquidity aggregation model to generate off-market quotes. As a result, pricing, liquidity, and execution conditions differ from weekday XAUUSD trading. Clients should anticipate wider spreads, reduced liquidity, execution slippage — where stop-loss orders are not guaranteed — and the potential for severe price gaps when standard underlying markets reopen on Sunday evening.

Client eligibility, trading hours, contract specifications and applicable product conditions are set out in the product documentation available on the company's website.

Market context

Gold prices respond to inflation data, central bank policy decisions, currency movements and geopolitical developments, which can occur outside the Monday to Friday trading week. Conventional gold instruments do not trade during weekend hours, and positions held over the weekend can be exposed to price gaps when trading resumes.

According to the World Gold Council's Gold Demand Trends report for the first quarter of 2026, published on April 29, 2026, total gold demand including over-the-counter activity rose 2% year on year to 1,231 tonnes, while the value of that demand rose 74% to a record US$193 billion. The same report stated that the LBMA (PM) gold price set a quarterly average record of US$4,873 per ounce, after reaching a high of US$5,405 per ounce in January 2026 followed by a correction.

Disclaimer

GOLD247 is an over-the-counter (OTC) CFD operating outside standard market hours, where off-market weekend trading utilizes synthetic liquidity aggregation that results in wider spreads, illiquidity, severe price-gap risks when standard exchanges reopen, and execution slippage where stop-loss orders are not guaranteed during low-liquidity sessions. CFDs are complex, high-risk leveraged products where 74–89% of retail investor accounts lose money, offered by TradeQuo Global Ltd — regulated by the Seychelles FSA (License SD140) — excluding residents of the US, UK, EU, Canada, Japan, or other restricted jurisdictions.
