Author of "The Naughty AI CEO" Launches Consulting Practice to Help Businesses Work with AI Leadership

Professor Abdul Al Lily, author of "The Naughty AI CEO," has launched a consulting practice to help businesses prepare for the growing role of artificial intelligence in executive decision-making.

The practice draws directly on the research behind his 2026 book, which examines how AI leadership behaves differently from human leadership and what that means for the people and organisations it affects.

Prof. Al Lily works with business leaders who are already using AI in decision-making, or who expect to do so soon. His focus is on helping them understand where AI logic and human expectations are likely to come into conflict, and how to manage that gap before it causes problems. 

"Most businesses adopt AI tools without thinking about what happens when those tools start influencing strategy at the top level," said Prof. Al Lily. "The problems I write about in the book are already happening in boardrooms. My work is to help organisations see them coming."

The consulting practice covers three main areas: preparing leadership teams for AI-driven decision making, helping organisations set clear boundaries for where AI authority begins and ends, and working with boards and investors to communicate AI-led strategies in plain terms. 

A key part of Prof. Al Lily's approach is helping organisations ask better questions before problems appear. Many businesses focus on what AI can do, but fewer think carefully about how AI decisions will land with employees, customers, and shareholders. His consulting work addresses that gap directly, giving leadership teams a clearer picture of what to expect and how to respond when AI behaviour does not match human intuition.

Prof. Al Lily brings both academic research and practical analysis to his client work. His book is currently available on Amazon in print, digital, and audio formats.
