New legal entity will own the project’s trademarks, domains, and code, while MS DAO members keep control of upgrades, treasury and roadmap

GEORGE TOWN, Cayman Islands, November 3, 2026 (EZ Newswire) -- MOBIUS STRIP (MS), a privacy-focused Web3 protocol, has incorporated a Cayman Islands foundation company to serve as the legal owner of its intellectual property, trademarks, domains and protocol code. Governance stays with the MS DAO.
The move follows a wider shift among decentralized protocols, including governance proposals at Aave, toward memberless Cayman entities that can hold and protect brand and code assets that a DAO can’t legally own by itself.
