Emeril Lagasse Foundation announces its participation in National Mall of Pickleball, hosted by The Trust for the National Mall, Humana Inc., and the Humana Foundation. The Foundation’s involvement comes by special invitation from the Humana Foundation, a generous supporter of Emeril’s Culinary Garden & Teaching Kitchen, the Foundation’s signature program.
During the event, students from Emeril’s Culinary Garden & Teaching Kitchen will take the spotlight on Center Court—known in pickleball as “The Kitchen”—to present healthy cooking demonstrations alongside local chefs. These engaging sessions will showcase recipes and skills the students have developed through the program, which integrates cooking, gardening, and nutrition education into K-8 schools nationwide.
“With the Humana Foundation’s support, we are honored to bring our students to such a unique national stage,” said Brian Kish, President of Emeril Lagasse Foundation. “This is a special opportunity for them to share their knowledge and passion for healthy cooking with the community.”
Through its partnership with the Humana Foundation, Emeril’s Culinary Garden & Teaching Kitchen extends food and nutrition education beyond the classroom, creating opportunities for young people to share their knowledge and bring communities together through food.
