The new standalone course, AI Adventurers, teaches young learners how AI tools work, when to trust them, and how to question them. It is now open for enrollment.

IVGID, NV, October 23, 2026 (EZ Newswire) -- Coco Coders, the education technology company that has taught coding to more than 25,000 children and counting, is announcing the launch of AI Adventurers, a six-week standalone course taught live online in small groups that carries its coding curriculum into AI literacy. Enrollment is currently open through the Coco Coders enrollment page.
Children now encounter AI in their homework apps, search results, games, and voice assistants often long before they develop the wherewithal to understand how those systems generate answers or why those answers can be wrong. A 2025 study by Google and Livity found that 88% of teens ages 13 to 15 already use AI tools for learning and creative tasks at least a couple of times a week, and 63% of respondents to the European Commission's 2025 Flash Eurobarometer survey agreed that everyone will need to be AI literate by 2030, according to the AI Literacy Framework developed by the European Commission and the OECD.
Coco Coders was created around the idea that coding is the foundation of AI literacy, and by learning how to code, children are better prepared to enter a society and work with AI tools responsibly and intelligently. The AI Adventurers class focuses on demystifying how AI systems work: how the models learn, why they can sound confident while being mistaken, and how to push back on what they produce.
Elizabeth Tweedale, founder and CEO of Coco Coders, describes the course as "the next evolutionary step" for a company she calls "a domain expert in teaching kids how to code." She explains that the team's experience teaching children to code is foundational to understanding AI, and that the course gives kids the grounding to interact with the AI tools all around them, including knowing what to trust, what not to trust, and how to question those tools and eventually build their own.
"Our aim is for students to leave with the skills to use AI tools safely, confidently and effectively, as we believe this is a core skill they'll need for the future of school, work, and life," said Tweedale.
Across six weekly one-hour sessions that are highly interactive and project-based, students use a kid-safe chatbot to create stories and comics, train their own classification model using machine learning, and build a portfolio showcasing both what they made and the core AI literacy concepts they have learned along the way. The course covers what AI is and how it works in general terms, how to use it safely and effectively, and how to evaluate and improve its outputs through prompting. Each week, students guide their work with a four-step mantra that shares the company's name:
