Before B. Brownson & Associates, L.P., Mr. Brownson completed a bachelor’s degree in political science and government at The University of Tulsa in 1971. After briefly considering a career in law, he accepted a position at Korn Ferry as an associate consultant in 1976. He became a senior associate within the year and was appointed managing associate by 1979.

Mr. Brownson briefly joined Paul Ray & Company as the organization’s vice president in 1981, before accepting a similar position as vice president and director of energy and chemical practice a year later. By 1984, he rose to the position of senior vice president and managing director at the company. By 1990, he joined A.T. Kearney (now Kearney) as senior vice president, managing director, and partner of the company’s energy, chemical, and service industry practice.

In 1992, Mr. Brownson founded his own venture, B. Brownson & Associates L.P., as its president and chief executive officer. He established the firm based on two key principles: first, he and his team commit to every assignment they take on; second, they provide highly responsive and customized service.
