A Tiny House Resort, a South Cairo, New York-based collection of "tiny houses" for vacationers in the Catskills, today announced its participation in B&Bs for Vets, a national program offering complimentary overnight stays for veterans and active military personnel.
The B&Bs for Vets program, hosted by the Association of Lodging Professionals (ALP), is designed to thank US veterans and active military for their service by providing them with the unique experience of staying at independent lodging properties like bed and breakfasts. The B&Bs for Vets program was founded by Kathleen Panek, a West Virginia innkeeper, in 2008. Thousands of veterans and active military personnel have been hosted in the years since.
"Vets have served us, and now we can serve them," says Marjorie Juszczak, Tiny House Operations Manager at A Tiny House Resort.
“There’s no way to convey the challenges that active-duty separations bring to marriages. Taking the time to reconnect can be difficult when you finally get back home,” adds Fiona, a former B&Bs for Vets guest. “The benefits of our relationship are still being felt, and the fantastic memories are a great motivation to be sure we take time with each other after every separation.”
