Leaves of Leisure Launches Crowdfunding Campaign Offering Backers Interest on Their Investment
CEO and Founder Allison Ullo, embarked on the journey after her personal journey to quitting caffeine. Nearly a decade ago she realized the negative impact excessive caffeine consumption was having on her health. Leaves of Leisure is a testament to her commitment to providing consumers with an alternative to caffeine-laden beverages. The brand offers an exquisite collection of six herbal teas, each inspired by leisure activities and brimming with detoxifying, mood-enhancing, and overall wellness ingredients.
What sets Leaves of Leisure apart is its exclusive focus on zero and low caffeine teas, a paradigm shift in an industry where caffeine often takes center stage. With statistics showing that millions of Americans are addicted to caffeine, the brand is at the forefront of a growing trend toward healthier, low-caffeine alternatives.
The funds raised through this crowdfunding campaign will be allocated to various growth initiatives, including the introduction of new flavors, enhanced marketing strategies, improved shipping processes, professional photography, video production, and expanding the Leaves of Leisure team. A significant portion of these funds will enable the brand to reach a broader audience and strengthen its presence in the market.
Leaves of Leisure chose Honeycomb Credit as its crowdfunding platform for its unique approach to financing. Unlike traditional crowdfunding platforms, Honeycomb Credit offers investment opportunities that earn interest rather than donations, making it an attractive choice for both supporters and the brand. Investors can start with a minimum investment of just $100, making it accessible for a wide range of backers and will earn 11.25% interest on their investment.
Leaves of Leisure's crowdfunding campaign, hosted on Honeycomb Credit, is now live and accepting investments from supporters. To join the movement and learn more about this innovative tea brand, visit the Campaign Page.

Glen Allen Post Elects Rose Brown as First Female Commander
Rose Brown, retired Lieutenant Colonel, 29th Infantry Division, Virginia Army National Guard (VaARNG) was recently elected commander of Glen Allen VFW, Post 10657. A first for the Glen Allen Veterans Foreign Wars (VFW) community, retired Lieutenant Colonel Rose Brown assumed its leadership as first female commander.
Inspired by the legacy of former Post Commander Frederick "Fritz" Eley, Commander Brown's goal is expansion of VFW's presence into its surrounding civilian communities.
While VFW's national focus is support of those who served in foreign wars and their families, the Glen Allen Post has partnered with the Virginia Military Vehicles Association (VMVA) to further its presence into surrounding civilian communities. As a result, VFW and VMVA frequently host 'hands on' exposure of military vehicles and other artifacts. For details of national activities visit web site www.vfw.org and Post 10657, visit www.vfwpost10657.us.
Acquiring recognition as a '1st female' is not a new experience for Commander Rose Perez Brown. She is the first female cadet to earn her airborne wings at Fort Benning, GA. At the end of her career, Brown served in the VaARNG Joint Operation Center as a shift leader in Operation Jump Start during the border patrol crises in 2006 and then deployed to Bosnia Herzegovina as the Force Structure Advisor under the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) from 2006 to 2008.

‘TripLineDrop’: Art Show with a Twist of Rock and Roll on August 25th
While Charleston has long been celebrated for its serene marsh scenes and paintings of egrets and sunsets, a vibrant community of renegade artists has emerged over the past few decades, shaping the city's contemporary art scene. Now, two outstanding artists, Mauricio Sánchez Rengifo (Masáre) and Scott Parsons, proudly call Charleston their home, and their groundbreaking works are ready to be showcased at a thrilling art event that promises to engage all the senses.
White Gallery and Austin Walker of ARW&CO are delighted to co-host this unique event, featuring the awe-inspiring creations of Masáre + Scott Parsons. The art show will not only display their captivating large-scale pieces up close and personal but also infuse the venue with live music, creating an immersive experience that brings the art to life. Performers include Paul Harris, Graham Whorley, and DJ Moldybrain. The event is sponsored by EZ Newswire, PDA - Production Design Associates, Soul Shine Studios and Gil Shuler Graphic Design, Devil's Foot Beverage Company, and 3 Keys Wine and Fatty's Beer Works.
Mauricio Sánchez Rengifo (Masáre) was born in Pereira, Colombia. As an architect, musician, and artist, he continuously explores materials, tools, visual effects, and audiovisual creation. "I always say (and think), 'Art is magic,' when people ask me, 'How do you do it?' And that's what I try to achieve in my paintings—searching for visual effects and illusions. I aim to amaze and captivate the eye and the brain" says Renfigo. His work revolves around recognizing images as fragments, not simply what meets the eye, but rather a product of the subconscious mind that unifies the information from each fragment or piece.
Scott Parsons' artistic journey began in his early years, drawing inspiration from comic books, cartoons, and movies. As an independent and self-taught artist, he explores various mediums, evolving styles, and vibrant subject matter. Known for his spray paint murals and detailed acrylic paintings, he now immerses himself in experimenting with acrylic pours in his home studio, creating abstract fluid landscapes and psychedelic colors. “Regardless of the inspiration, materials, and methods, my work consistently captures mutable states of consciousness, extending an open invitation for individual interpretation and a personalized experience.” says Parsons.
All art enthusiasts and curious minds are invited to celebrate the opening of ‘TripLineDrop’ on August 25th, 2023 from 7 to 10 p.m. at the White Gallery (709 Coleman Blvd, Mount Pleasant, SC 29464). For more information, please contact events@arwandco.com.

Presidential Candidate Steve Laffey to Kick Off Iowa Campaign Season
Steve Laffey, Republican presidential candidate, is set to make his first trip to Iowa for a series of engaging events that will bring him closer to the people of the Hawkeye State. With a focus on connecting with voters and addressing issues that matter most to Iowans, Laffey's visit promises to be an informative and impactful experience.
It all starts on Friday, August 25, when Laffey will participate in the "Iowa Talking Points" show for KXEL. National Nonprofit Dedicated to the Burn Community Ready to Provide Support to Hawaii Wildfire Survivors and Burn Care Team
Phoenix Society for Burn Survivors is at the ready to support those impacted by the Maui wildfires and the care team at the Straub Burn Unit.
As dangerous wildfires continue to rip across Hawaii, Phoenix Society for Burn Survivors, the leading national nonprofit dedicated to supporting the burn community, is mobilizing support for survivors and loved ones by working with care teams and patients at the Straub Burn Unit in Honolulu.
"On behalf of Phoenix Society, we send our deepest condolences to the families of those who lost loved ones in the Maui wildfires along with our support to those recovering from injuries," said Amy Acton, CEO of Phoenix Society. "As the recovery process begins, it is important for people to connect with and support each other. Our team is beginning to work with the medical community to ship recovery kits to burn survivors and stand ready to connect with caregivers and survivors to provide assistance."
As the immediate response continues and recovery begins, Phoenix Society encourages caregivers and loved ones to utilize its virtual support groups and available online resources as they begin the journey of burn recovery. These vital resources can be found at www.Phoenix-Society.org and cover topics such as what to expect with physical healing, how to care for yourself as a caregiver, and healing from burn trauma.
The Straub Burn Unit is also a certified Phoenix SOAR (Survivors Offering Assistance in Recovery) hospital. The Phoenix SOAR program connects survivors and their support systems with trained volunteers who have experienced similar trauma to serve as a trusted guide on their unique journey forward. Phoenix Society and our network of trained Phoenix SOAR volunteers are at the ready to support those impacted by the Maui wildfires and the care team at the Straub Burn Unit.
