Some of these requirements center around athletic injuries such as providing pre-participation physical examinations, developing injury and illness prevention strategies, and providing injury intervention. Other requirements focus more on the school's equipment and facilities, requiring they promote safe and appropriate practice and competition facilities, plan for proper selection and maintenance of athletic equipment, and provide an appropriately equipped area to evaluate and treat injured athletes.

NATA also looks at education and requires that the school provides psycho-social consultations, nutrition counseling/education, and makes sure athletes and parents are educated about the potential benefits and risks in sports as well as their responsibilities.

Women in the Arts Foundation Announces 'Creative Journey' 2023 Exhibition
Women in the Arts Foundation, Inc. (WIA) now in its sixth decade, celebrates Women’s History Month 2023, bringing to Peekskill’s Field Gallery a multi-faceted exhibit of exuberant, powerful art highlighting the diversity, strength, creativity, and professionalism of women artists. Women’s history is human history and here, nature is venerated. The artists represented in this show have found ways to tell their myriad of stories through visual imagery made in a wide variety of materials ranging from painting, drawing, printmaking and collage to photography, sculpture, fiber art, and mixed media. The Creative Journey 2023 exhibition will be held from March 4-29, 2023, with an opening reception on March 4th from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. The exhibit can be found at the mezzanine level of the Field Gallery within the Field Library at 4 Nelson Avenue in Peekskill, New York.
