This press release focuses on a recent conversation with Daisy Harrison, content editor at Casino.org, exploring how players can find the best online casinos, what matters most in trusted reviews, and where the iGaming industry is headed next.
As the global online gaming landscape becomes increasingly popular and more complex, it can be difficult for players around the world to choose between all the different operators and platforms out there today. Consulting expert advice can therefore be an enormously helpful way to narrow down the options and find the most suitable sites. We recently had the chance to speak to Daisy Harrison, content editor at Casino.org, who shared some fascinating insights into the current status of the industry.
As a leading guide for players, the team of experts at Casino.org bring years of experience to the table. During our conversation, we discussed the options for finding the best online casinos in Canada according to Harrison today, as well as exploring her approach to reviews and guidance. Daisy was able to offer a keen insight into what this fast-paced industry might look like in the future, alongside some fascinating expert tips for players.
Since the earliest days of the internet, the iGaming industry has changed almost beyond recognition. Keeping up with the the latest political developments and advancements in modern technology must be challenging, not only for players but for experts, too. What do you think has helped Casino.org to become a leading voice in such a fast-paced industry?
DH: You’re right, so much has changed since those early days of the internet. We have been the benchmark in the online casino industry for 30 years, and during that time we’ve really focused on what matters to players in the present moment. We’ve had to keep adapting our guidance to bring it in line with the times, whether that’s any changes to legislation, or the impact of new technologies like AI which is massive right now.
I think that’s definitely helped to set Casino.org apart — players know that we’re keeping up with the latest developments with their needs in mind, and we’re committed to ensuring that our guidance is relevant and regularly updated. It is certainly a fast-paced industry, but I think we’ve managed to keep up, and that’s made a huge difference to our reputation and our ability to support players over time. We know it’s our job to stay informed and really dig deep, so players don’t have to.
As well as navigating the complexities of regulation, today’s players also just have so many different games to sit down and choose from. Casino.org has become a really vital source of reviews and easy-read rankings to help players sift through all the options. How do you and the team approach these reviews? What kind of things are you looking out for?
DH: There's so much to choose from, especially when it comes to things like slots, so it understandably feel a little overwhelming for players at times. At Casino.org we really try to break things down into simple categories to help make it easier for players to choose gaming platforms based on their own priorities. We’ll rank sites based on different factors like payment methods, the overall user experience, the quality of user support, and obviously the games and bonuses themselves — and then people can make a decision based on what matters most to them.
I think what also really sets our team of experts apart is the fact that so many of us enjoy playing these games ourselves, so we're coming at it from personal experience and understanding. Personally, over my decade in the iGaming scene, I’ve gained an understanding of both sides of the coin by working with both players and platforms. I think that helps me to see the bigger picture, and to know what makes a platform worth your time.
Today's players seem to really appreciate the Casino.org guidance and its overall player-first approach. By working closely with iGaming fans and those who have direct experience in the industry, what would you say are some of the biggest priorities for players today?
DH: Obviously convenience is huge, just like in pretty much every other industry at the moment. Players are looking for efficiency and ease, so they’re often asking us to identify the platforms that pay out the fastest. It does seem as though there’s a growing demand for interactive and community-driven games as well, and I think the rise of streaming in the wider gaming world has had a huge impact. Security is a big one at the moment as well. Understandably, players want to know that their bankroll is being properly protected, and they’re also often keen to preserve their anonymity and prevent their personal details from being leaked.
At Casino.org we take player protections and security measures really seriously, and if a site doesn’t live up to our strict standards, we’ll make sure to let people know.
It seems like a pivotal time for the international iGaming industry right now, with new regulated markets arriving on the scene, and growing demand from players. There’s understandably a lot of speculation going on — can you talk us through your hopes and predictions for the next few years?
DH: From an international perspective, there really is so much going on at the moment. North America is definitely one to watch in terms of changes to regulation — in particular, I think Alberta in Canada could be ready to open its own legal online casino market as soon as next year. There’s also a lot of potential in places like Brazil, Mexico, and India, so the growth of iGaming is a really global phenomenon right now.
In terms of my own hopes for the industry, I hope that regulators in neighboring regions can start working together to bring about a little more consistency and clarity for players and operators. I’m also looking forward to seeing how platforms use AI to improve user support and create new experiences, there’s no doubt it's going to be a real game changer. The opportunities for players have already changed and improved so much in the last 30 years, so the future looks bright.
