Cable and Company, an entertainment news site, today announced a crowdfunding campaign for a short film it is producing, The Gospel According to Ruth. The film is directed by Chris Armienti and written by Lydia Lane Nix, while Cable and Company founder Ben Cable is the executive producer, editor, and co-star. The filmmakers plan to release The Gospel According to Ruth in 2023.
"The Gospel According to Ruth is an American-Latino comedy-drama film about ageism, prejudice, stereotypes, and homophobia," said Cable. "I am proud of my co-actors and Camille Harmon, who plays Ruth, was a great actress to work with."
"We need help from the community and supporters," Cable added. "Help us raise $1,000 so we can finish this project. Your donation will go toward funding the costs of making the film, including equipment rentals and distribution expenses. Our GoFundMe Page is https://gofund.me/40d80a7a.
