ATLANTA, GA -- Yay Beignet, an Atlanta coffee shop which prides itself on offering "the best beignets this side of the Mighty Mississippi," has expanded its location to offer more seating, better amenities, and exciting new menu items. Somewhat similar to a doughnut, beignets are a type of French fritter, or deep-fried pastry, made from yeast dough. Louisiana-style beignets are square or rectangular fried pastries made from leavened dough rather than choux pastry and are often served with powdered sugar on top.

Formerly occupied by Bomb Biscuit, the expanded space located at The Irwin Street Market on 660 Irwin Street NE will open on November 1st, 2022. The new menu includes flavored teas, frappe drinks, and additional breakfast and lunch items such as New Orleans-style po' boy sandwiches. They will also host Ethiopian Coffee Ceremonies from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.
