What’s a Rich Text element?

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

Static and dynamic content editing

A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!

How to customize formatting for each rich text

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.

Museum of the City of New York to Present 2022 Louis Auchincloss Prize to Anna Deavere Smith

The Museum of the City of New York, a Manhattan institution dedicated to preserving and celebrating New York City's rich history, today announced that on November 14, 2022, it will present its 2022 Louis Auchincloss Prize to actor, playwright, author, and professor Anna Deavere Smith for her contributions to the cultural and performing arts landscape in New York City and beyond. The evening will include cocktails as well as an awards presentation by Glenn D. Lowry, The David Rockefeller Director of The Museum of Modern Art, and an insightful conversation with Kate D. Levin, the Arts Program Lead of Bloomberg Philanthropies.

Anna Deavere Smith is an award-winning playwright and actress credited with having created a new form of theater. Written in that innovative form, the plays focus on contemporary issues from multiple points of view, and are composed of excerpts of hundreds of interviews. Furthermore, her acting work has made an indelible impression with memorable roles in notable films and shows including Philadelphia, The West Wing, The American President, Rachel Getting Married, Black-ish and Inventing Anna. At NYU’s Tisch School, she is a full professor in the Department of Art and Public Policy.

"Anna is a polymath whose impactful work encompasses precisely what the Louis Auchincloss Prize seeks to salute each year,” says Whitney Donhauser, the Ronay Menschel Director and President of the Museum of the City of New York. “We’re thrilled to honor her talent and legacy."

"New York is my home and the fertile ground in which the seeds of many of my creative projects have been grown,” says Smith. “I’m thrilled and sincerely moved to be receiving this prestigious award, and to be honored by the Museum of the City of New York.”

The Louis Auchincloss Prize is presented to writers and artists whose work is inspired by and enhances the five boroughs of New York City. Disciplines include literature, architecture, art, music, playwriting, and photography. The Prize honors Louis Auchincloss (1917–2010) for his many years of service to the Museum of the City of New York, as well as his literary contributions which established him as one of America's leading 20th- and 21st-century novelists. Past Louis Auchincloss Prize honorees include Faith Ringgold, Robert Stern, Jason Robert Brown, Whoopi Goldberg, Gloria Steinem, Michiko Kakutani, Tony Kushner, Wynton Marsalis, Toshiko Mori, and Philip Glass.
